Last June Elettronica Group was given the Mercurio 2017 Award, for the important contribution to economic cooperation between Italy and Germany, the commitment for both innovation and technology transfer and the consequent incentive to the positive image of “Made in Italy”.
Since 1999, the Italian-German Economic Association MERCURIO has annually granted the Award to Companies that distinguish themselves for their contribution to economic and cultural relations between Italy and Germany.
In recent years, the Italian parent Company Elettronica S.p.A has repositioned Elettronica GmbH, founded in Meckenheim about 40 years ago, giving it a new strategic direction. The aim has been the strengthening of the commitment to personal protection and homeland security, based on ELT know-how and competences gained in more than 50 years of successful work in the military sector.
"The aim of our Group is to strengthen what is nowadays a primary and indispensable asset: our security, especially in these days of maximum alert, into public space and local transport must be protected for our freedom. The Award recognises to us the capability to drive innovation through tradition", said Marcello Mariucci, CEO of Elettronica GmbH.
